FitRats for small groups
Eat well, move, and keep your word to your group.
Set a few goals. Check in every night. The day is judged green, yellow or red, your group sees it, and a small stake makes it real.
For groups of friends, couples and gym buddies. English and Portuguese.
Today
Today, as it looks in the app. One mark per day; the week fills in as you go.
How it works
Four small habits. One honest picture.
FitRats is not a calorie counter or a workout planner. You estimate your numbers wherever you like; FitRats is where the number becomes a commitment.
-
Set your goals
Pick a recipe like Calories + Protein + Movement, No counting, or Workouts only, or build your own. Goals change on Mondays, so the week you are in stays honest.
-
Check in every night
One number per goal, or one tap. Yesterday is shown for reference, never pre-filled. Miss the check-in and the day is a reset, so honesty is always the cheapest move.
-
The day is judged
Green, yellow or red, computed from your goals, never self-graded. Your weakest goal decides. Weekly goals like strength 3× a week are judged on Sunday, so a rest day is never a failure.
-
Your group keeps you honest
Every member’s day shows up in the challenge feed. Standings rank by adherence, never by weight. A slip costs a small, flat fee unless you come back and erase it.
The mark
Every day has one mark.
Two rings, a core and a dot. Each ring is a true 0 to 100, the way a fitness ring should be, never a count. The full mark is a green day closing a perfect week. It is also the app icon.
Outer ring · today’s gap to green
Your weakest goal’s position between its reset line and its green line. Closed exactly when the day is green, empty on a reset. It can never disagree with the dot.
Inner ring · the week
One unit per green day, half for a recovered day, plus one per session of a weekly goal. Fills Monday to Sunday and never falls.
Core · moved today
Lit when you moved: the movement goal, steps at target, a training session, or the free “moved” tap. Never judged, never fined.
Dot · the day’s verdict
Green, yellow or red once the day is judged. A check mark means your comeback erased the fee. Absent until then.
The same mark, on different days
- Before check-in Empty tracks, no verdict yet
- Yellow day Off track, 40% of the way to green
- Recovered A red day erased by three greens
- Green day Closing a perfect week
Rings never carry traffic-light colors and never stack one ring per goal. A member with one goal and a member with eight read the same mark.
Challenges and stakes
Small stakes. Flat, predictable, and never ours.
A challenge is a group with house rules: a stake per slip, a destination for the money, and a settlement day. It rolls on week after week, with no end date.
-
Small, flat fees
An off-track day costs one stake unit; a reset costs two. Capped at four units a week. Fees never escalate and never compound, so you can always predict your week.
-
A comeback erases a slip
Close the next day green and a yellow day is erased. Three green days in a row erase a red one. Forgiveness is earned by the comeback, never stored or spent in advance.
-
Money moves between members, via Pix
At the weekly settlement you pay the destination your group chose, a charity or a group fund, straight from your own bank. Upload the receipt; a groupmate reviews it.
-
The app never touches money
FitRats computes, instructs and records. It never receives, holds, pools or forwards a cent. No pots, no winners, nothing random. Weight is displayed and never fined.
Settlement
- Your week 1 off-track day

Who it’s for
Groups that already talk about it.
FitRats works for three to ten people who know each other. The pressure comes from the people, not from the app.
-
Groups of friends
The group chat that already trades gym selfies. Give it a stake, a destination and a Sunday, and the talk becomes a record.
-
Couples
Same kitchen, same fridge, same goals or different ones. Your partner sees your day but never reviews your receipt; another member does.
-
Gym buddies
Training partners who want the days between sessions to count too. Strength 3× a week, moved every day, protein at target.
Not for solo tracking or for people who want an app to count for them. FitRats has no food database and no meal plans, on purpose.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Does FitRats count my calories?
No. Estimate your numbers wherever you like and type the total once a night. FitRats has no food database, barcode scanner or photo recognition, on purpose. It is where the number becomes a commitment.
What happens if I miss a check-in?
You can save a day until the end of the next day. After that the day is a reset, the same as a badly missed goal. Reporting a bad day is never more expensive than not reporting.
How is a day judged?
Each daily goal has a green line and a reset line. Calories within your grace band are green; more than 25% over is a reset. Protein at 90% is green; under 75% is a reset. A yes/no goal missed once is off track, twice in a row is a reset. Your weakest goal sets the day.
What exactly does a comeback erase?
A yellow day is erased when the very next day is green (once per rolling week). A red day is erased by three green days in a row (once per rolling month). The day keeps its color and gains a check mark; the fee is waived.
Is this gambling?
No. The destination of every fee is fixed by the group when the challenge is created, the same for everyone: a charity, a group fund, anything but a pot for the winner. Nothing is random and FitRats never handles the money.
Who sees my data?
Your check-ins, day results, photos and standings are visible to the members of your challenges and to no one else. Weight is optional and never ranked. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
Can I change my goals?
Any time. Changes apply from the next Monday, so the current week keeps the goals it started with. Your first goals apply the same day.
Which languages and countries?
The app is in English and Brazilian Portuguese. Settlements use Pix, so money between members works in Brazil today.
